"Life of a very serious girl Naina, changes on the arrival of her new neighbour, Aman, who teaches her a new way to live".

 Naina (Preity Zinta) tells the story. Her father had committed suicide  years ago, which left a deep impression on her heart. Her family is dysfunctional because of her mother and grandmother who can not stop arguing. But, when Aman (Shahrukh Khan) arrives next door, all things change. Aman lives life openly skeptical and serious Naina, and she falls in love with him. Aman, but he knows he can not marry Naina, why can not reveal the secret to him. So soon, where he has his best friend Rohit (Saif Ali Khan).Aman help both to marry each other.at the end aman dead due to cancer.
